“You should hire a personal injury attorney because the Insurance Company has statistics that show when they deal with someone who doesn’t have representation they average paying about 25 percent of what a case is worth.
The things we do every day we live eat and breathe personal injury. We know what the jury verdicts are; we know what the necessary doctors are and reports to get and make up to prove your case. The insurance company has their own adjusters that do nothing but adjust claims, and that’s all they do. They know all the reasons why they are not going to pay you for your claim. On the other hand if you are not familiar with personal injury you do not know all the reasons, or they average person does not know all the reasons they should pay for the claim.
The real power we have is that if they don’t offer enough money we file a lawsuit and take it to a jury of 12 men and women to decide a fair value. If the insurance company knows they are dealing with someone directly, they know they do not have the power or ability to do this and they can what we call ‘low ball them.’ They will offer them low offers and they will tell them all the reasons why they do not want to pay them what they should. On the other hand we will gather the information that will cause them to pay more money or the money they should pay for a personal injury accident.” |
