Los Angeles Broken Arm Attorney

For adults, aged 18 and over, approximately half of all fractured bones are broken arms.  While a broken arm is a general term used if any of the bones in one's arm breaks, it can refer to a broken humerus, a cracked radius or a break in the ulna bone of the arm.

Broken Humerus Bone

The humerus bone connects the elbow to the shoulder.  The humerus bone is the largest bone of the arm, and if it is broken the injured person will suffer from extreme pain.  The arm's movement will be greatly restricted, and the injured person may have little or no use of their hand on the injured arm.  Depending on the severity of the broken bone, the doctor may elect to put a cast on the entire arm to prevent or limit movement of the entire arm.

Cracked Ulna Bone | Broken Radius Bone

Both the ulna bone and the radius bone comprise the forearm of the human arm.  These two bones connect to the humerus bone and extend down to someone's wrist.  If someone breaks either their ulna bone or radius bone, they will experience great pain, but the cast may only be on the person's forearm, where hand and wrist movement will be greatly minimized.
