While no one ever expects to require the assistance of a Los Angeles personal injury lawyer to file a wrongful death lawsuit on behalf a loved one killed in a car accident, such a sad situation resulted on New Years.
Returning home from a New Year's eve party, a husband and wife driving in an Infiniti were involved in a fatal car accident when another car drove through a red light as they were being chased by police. The vehicle that was being chased by the police was a white Geo Prism which first started to be chased by police as they drove through another red light at Van Ness Avenue near Florence Avenue on late Friday night in Los Angeles. The driver of the fleeing vehicle was Jorge Alberto Molina, age 27, from Culver City, California. Upon the Geo Prism striking the Infiniti at the intersection of Florence and Crenshaw, the Infiniti rolled over and struck a nearby pole killing both the husband, Kelvin Dorsey, and wife, Demetria Dorsey. The driver of the Geo Prism attempted to flee the scene, but he was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and booked on two counts of murder with a $1 million dollar bail. If anyone has any additional information regarding this tragic incident, please call the police.
