A 54 year old woman died on Sunday after her motorcycle collided with an SUV just outside Los Angeles County. The motorcycle accident happened around 1 am that morning, and Diana Gail Vandenberg died 5 hours later at a local medical center. The impact of the crash caused the woman to be thrown from her motorcycle, at which point she sustained fatal injuries. The California Highway Patrol is still investigating what might have caused this fatal motorcycle accident.
Having been thrown from her bike, this woman likely sustained serious abrasions, lacerations, and head trauma. Though there have not been reports of the cause of death, it is probable that she suffered a serious brain injury, a neck injury, or internal organ damage. Motorcycle accidents in Los Angeles and the surrounding counties reportedly cause the wrongful death of thousands of bikers each year.
