On March 7, 2010 a young man sustained fatal injuries in a
Los Angeles pedestrian accident when he was hit by a car in Hacienda Heights. The 19-year old man was rushed to a local hospital where he was later died. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is conducting an investigation in hopes of determining the cause of this fatal
Los Angeles car accident.
Pedestrians run the risk of being hit by a car while walking in a marked crosswalk, standing on the side of the street, or even getting into their parked cars. Traffic accident research organized by the CHP found that in 2008 there were nearly 5,000
pedestrian accidents in Los Angeles County and at least 214 of those accidents resulted in a fatality.
