On June 9, 2010 a veteran CHP officer was critically injured in a Los Angeles car accident. He was hit by a car while standing on the side of the highway during a routine traffic stop. The 52 year old officer had pulled over a vehicle moments before an Infiniti struck him and pinned him against another car. After the officer was released from the wreckage he was rushed to UCLA Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition. Three other people suffered injuries, including that of the negligent driver.
After further investigation authorities found out that the driver of the Infiniti was illegally passing traffic by driving on the shoulder of the 405 freeway. The driver carelessly tried to avoid traffic, and in selfishly breaking the law they might have caused a man his life. Sadly, several people were injured in this tragic Los Angeles accident, and one might suffer a wrongful death.
