A recent ruling in the Ohio state Supreme Court found that dog bite
owners are even more liable than they once were. The court ruled that
dog owners are accountable under state dog bite laws as well as other
laws related to negligence. The ruling came after a young girl suffered
serious head injuries as the result a dog attack. In the civil case a
jury awarded the family compensatory damages but not punitive damages.
The Supreme Court ruled that the family should be allowed to file a
negligence claim against the dog owner as well.
This ruling may have been in the state of Ohio, but it is only a matter
