Hit and Run Bicycle Accident in Los Angeles County

On Monday February 15, 2010 a Los Angeles car accident left a bicyclist severely injured.  Compton authorities say that an unidentified van hit a bicyclist and fled the scene of the accident.  Several witnesses at the scene said that a silver minivan struck the  man on the bike and, after checking the victim, sped off.  The man sustained catastrophic injuries and despite the efforts of the firefighters, he as pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
