Serious Car Accident in Santa Clarita Blocks Main Road

Earlier this evening a serious car accident occurred near the intersection of Newhall Ranch Road and Hillsborough Pkwy.  Police and emergency vehicles responded to the scene of what appeared to be the result of a driver running a red light.  The details of the auto accident are still under investigation, but we can assume that negligence played a part.  After the crash one vehicle was turned around facing the opposite direction in the center of the intersection.  Traffic in Santa Clarita going west on Newhall Ranch Road had to stay to the far left lane since the two right lanes and the main section of the intersection were blocked by the car accident.
