| Woman Killed by Bus in Tragic Motorcycle Accident |
A Southern California woman was killed while riding on the back of a motorcycle on Saturday when a bus ran over her, crushing her against the pavement. California Highway Patrol announced that the 42-year-old woman was the passenger of a 2003 Harley Davidson which tried to pass a merging bus, causing this fatal motorcycle accident. The driver of the chartered bus indicated to CHP that the bike had tried to cut him off, hitting him while trying to get back into the lane.
Motorcycle accidents are often fatal. The lack of protection between the rider and the road creates a dangerous scenario. When motorcycle riders are matched against busses or other autos they are often the losing party. Here, the passenger of the bike was thrown under the bus, getting crushed instantly. According to the bus driver, the motorcycle driver was at fault. In circumstances where the other driver is reckless or negligent they can be held responsible for your injuries or, in fatal motorcycle accidents, a wrongful death suit. If you or a loved one has been involved in a bike accident you must contact a qualified Los Angeles motorcycle accident attorney immediately. Contact us toll free at (800) 715-4489. |
