| Los Angeles Motorcycle Accidents Statistics |
| With unstable gas prices and predominately warm weather, Los Angeles is an ideal city to live in if you own a motorcycle. Statistics show that there has been over a 30% increase in motorcycle sales and nearly a 50% increase in the occurrence of motorcycle accidents since 2001. These statistics are alarming and reflect nearly 5,000 deaths in the USA alone associated with these accidents.
Unfortunately many motorcycle crash related deaths could be prevented if caution were exercised by motorcyclist and drivers a like. A lot of motorcyclists suffer a wrongful death when drivers fail to yield and adhere to the rules of the road. When the operator of a compact vehicle or tractor trailer carelessly switches lanes or disregards the rights of motorcyclists on the road they are held responsible under California strict liability laws.
