| iPhone Aps May Cause a Threat to Accident Prevention in Los Angeles |
A recent article was released about a new iPhone application which provides information to drivers about police "speed traps" and DUI stations placed along streets. The new ap is called "Trapster" and it alerts drivers and passengers of the location of radar guns, DUI checkpoints, red light cameras, police hiding spots, and more! The alarming part about the release of this iPhone ap is the idea that this could hinder the ability of authorities to help prevent Los Angeles DUI accidents and auto accidents.
Alcohol related auto accidents are frequently reported on local news stations and websites. Many times accidents of this manner are prevented because of a stationed DUI check point along a busy freeway or cross street. Reckless drunk drivers usually cause fatal car accidents that result in the wrongful death of an innocent passenger or driver.
Systems that help prevent speeding and drunk driving are beneficial to our society and it is unfortunate to know that some drivers may get away with reckless driving because of a cell phone warning system. DUI accidents and auto accidents in Los Angeles have been known to drastically change the lives of injured people and their families for years after the accidents.
