5 Killed in Fatal Motorcycle Accident South of Los Angeles

The California Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into a tragic motorcycle accident that resulted in the death of 5 people on Saturday. The auto accident happened near Ocotillo, CA when the reckless driver of a Honda Civic was speeding down a two lane road and cut off the driver of a Dodge Avenger. The driver of the Dodge then overcompensated to avoid running off of the road. He then crashed head on into a group of motorcyclists. Four of the people in the motorcycle group were killed and the companion of the Dodge driver was killed when a motorcycle broke through the passenger side window.
Several other people were injured in the motorcycle crash. Their injuries included head injuries, internal organ damage, broken bones, abrasions and other catastrophic injuries. The CHP is looking for the driver of the Honda Civic who is responsible for this motorcycle accident and the injuries and death of all victims.
This is such a sad story of what happens when people recklessly operate a motor vehicle.
